Raraku

We set off with Captain John and Cousin Veronica for an overnight sail from Port Adelaide to near Torrens Island.  The weather was cool but comfortable, and we had smooth sailing across the bay.  There were seals lounging in the sun on the way out and the way back, and we were accompanied from time to time by a dolphin or two.  That was always a highlight, and we ran for the camera each time, as the dolphin inevitably laughed and ducked under the waves.

Our home cooked curry dinner was delicious!  It’s amazing what an experienced gourmet can bring out of a small galley.  There was plenty of wine, home-brewed beer and gin and tonic as well.  Our berth only gently rocked overnight.  How peaceful it was!  We head back to shore after a relaxing morning followed by a tasty lunch.  What a great excursion, and a perfect opportunity to spend some time getting to know more of the family.
