A drive up to the Mt. Lofty summit provided a panoramic view of Adelaide all the way to the sea. We tried unsuccessfully to find two geocaches on the nature trail below the lookout, and then head down to Cleland Wildlife Park. Here, we were able to hand feed kangaroos, wallaby, emu and waterfowl, and we got to pat a koala named Steve. We had a long, sunny walk among the kangaroos, joeys in many of the females’ pouches, and then head home.
John and Donny redeemed themselves with a successful cache find just a few hundred meters from the house. It had been a full day, so we relaxed and visited in the evening after a delicious home-cooked meal.

WOW oh WOW! Glad there was one cashe for you guys. The pictures are wonderful. I must confess as I looked at the kangaroos that I don’t think I ever thought of a kangaroo laying down. What a strange thought! The coast line looks beautiful. Having dinner with friends last night the conversation turned to kangaroos after they found out about your travels. They had just visited the largest assemblage of kangaroos outside of Australia. Guess where–Dawsonville, GA. Have fun! ghl
Have you been up to Mt. Lofty at sunset or at night yet to see all the glittering lights of Adelaide? It’s a real sight to see, so pretty and worth seeing. Jane
