We are officially done with our preventative shots. WOO HOO!!! That makes a total of eight shots.
We made a trip into Boston again, this time with Jim Close (aka. HT’s father) who had some business in the city too. We dropped him at his appointment and drove over to Tufts Medical Center. This time we knew what we were in for so one of us (no name mentioned) was slightly apprehensive. The great part about our visit this time was a lack of paper work and co-pay! Our new friend Katherine, the nurse, spotted us as we walked in and told the receptionist that we were there to see her. Katherine walked us back to an exam room and stepped out for about 90 seconds, came back with four syringes (2 each), then promptly injected us. We were in the office for a total of probably ten minutes. The only thing left is the third and final round of Hep B, due in 6 months or so, and an additional shot against Japanese encephalitis if we decide to go to Asia next year.
The bill for the shots is still pending with the health insurance company, so we’ll soon find out how much of the $1500 we’ll finally owe. The shots ranged from $90 up to $405!
Just read about round 2. Glad that is behind you. Going to NYC really makes it seem real. I’m so excited it is really going to happen! Eat another lobster roll for me before you depart Cape Cod. 🙂
I like the editing.
