Trying to make the most of our weekend between working in Salt Lake City, UT and Grand Junction, Colorado we came peeling into Moab near dark on a Friday afternoon. Dead Horse Point State Park was on our way into town so we stopped to catch a glimpse before the sun set. As we pulled into the parking lot there was one other car and we could see the occupants were on their way back. We had the place to ourselves, such a treat!
The views were absolutely breathtaking. You could see to the horizon in every direction and I won’t even attempt a guess as to how far it actually was. You could nearly see the curve of the Earth. It was a great start to what was an outstanding weekend in southern Utah.
Here at TurtlesTravel we both LOVE the outdoors and visiting new places. This particular evening has always been special to me being able to experience such a beautiful place together.
Here is a link to more photos from the Moab area.

These are amazing photos!
Thanks for stopping by and giving such encouraging feedback.
I like the second one.. How did you take the photo?
Hi Zen, the sun was so low we were able to stand together and take the photo with camera in hand. There was a small gap in the canyon and we were able to stand at the edge with our shadows projected across to the outcropping. You cannot see the camera as it was blocked by my shadow. We are glad you enjoyed the photograph!
I did. Very much. 🙂
